1. Apply
With a clean and dry scalp (or other shiny skin area), scoop a small amount of Zero Shine onto your fingertip. Spread it on and rub it onto the shiny area in a circular motion. Rub it in until it is both clear and matte.
2. Add More?
If you tried spreading on a small amount and your skin is still shiny, you may need to add more. You can add as much as needed as long as you are still able to rub it in until it is transparent on the skin. Different skin types need different amounts. Some people can get away with a pea-sized dab on their fingertip and that will cover their whole head. Others may need to do 2 finger scoops to achieve the same result.
3. Wear it Out
You can wear Zero Shine on your head for as long as you want, however, the natural sweat and oils that your body produces will eventually break the Zero Shine down over time. If you are using the +SPF version, tests have been done showing that the sunblock effect will last on the scalp as long as you do not see shine on your head. So, the SPF rating of your Zero Shine +SPF can last for multiple days on most skin types.
4. Wash it off
Cleaning Zero Shine off will be desirable at times not only for hygiene reasons, but also to allow you to shave your head without getting hair clippings caught in the previously applied Zero Shine. It is easiest to wash Zero Shine off using ZSR (Zero Shine Remover). You just get a fingertip of ZSR and rub it all over the scalp, and rinse off with water or wipe with a wet rag. Alternatively, you can wash your head with soap or shampoo, although this method may take multiple attempts and additional scrubbing.
